The fare is typical for the Golden Corral chain - mostly so so, home style dishes served buffet style. We stopped in for lunch - had not been to a GC in a couple of years. First thing inside the door was a *filthy* door mat. Not a good first impression. Second thing - With my first breath I got the smell of a cleaning rag gone sour. That smell permeated the entire place. Not sure why we stayed, but I won't be back.

The chicken was undercooked, the mash potato was horrible, even the pizza wasn't cooked right. Place smells like dirty rug. The only thing this place is good for is unlimited desserts and ice cream. Will not go back.

This place needs to have a Heath inspector on site at all times, I think I got a touch of food poisoning, I will never eat here again ( one star but I mean zero)

For over 5 years I have been barraged with the TV ads. Now I know why. They must continually recruit new victims to the slop pen. I finally broke down and gave them a try. WRONG.... This has to be the WORST FOOD ever. But I understand why they are pack. SW Floridian have no clue as to what is good food anyway. How do you mess up mash potatoe & gravy.. They did. Horrible.. The steaks were serve well done. I can tolerate well done. BUT...... This is the first time I chewed and spit it out.. It was 11 am on a Sunday morn crowded. I did not know they served breakfast at 8am.. I heard these so called people asking for well done steaks WOW they are bad at ordering food as they are driving. The only 3 things that were good: my waitress Juanita , fried shrimp, & cocktail sauce Oh yes my Pepsi.. Aside from that the so call food just SUCKS. AVOID IT. NoTe. ( IT WAS VERY CLEAN workers very nice)

Stay away! Food is standard for Golden Corral and service is excellent. Cleanliness is way below standards. Carpet is black and greasy, workers mopping floor of food prep area with food sitting on racks 8 inches off the ground. Plates with sharp edges on it due to cracks and chips. Eat here at your own risk!

I will NEVER go again. Good, fresh food but the clientele is the grossest collection of inhumanity I have EVER witnessed. If you could charge 25 cents a pound (THEIR weight, not the food) they could cull out the pigs. I watched a woman with TWO plates of mashed potatoes, chunks of meat, NO vegetables, pizza, spaghetti, all topped with a quart of gravy eating it with a spoon and picking through the mess and eating with her hands! The SAME hands that held the food scoop on the food line! The SAME hands she licked just before she went back for two more plates of food! She weighed at least 450-500 and sat on TWO chairs! Golden Corral needs to rethink what to do to get these creatures out of there.

Don't eat here. The food was cold,Mshed potatoes undercooked and the carpet stinks really bad!! It was not even closing time and they were breaking the good bar down and cleaning while people were still eating. Restrooms were nasty. Steak was the only thing that was good. Staff not friendly either. The foul sour odor of the carpet makes eating difficult. The general management of this place should be fired! Our Golden Corral in Tamarac FL is 180 decrees opposite of the one in Fort Myers. The Board of Health needs to be called on this place. As a Pastor I was appalled by this place!

The food is okay. nothing extremely special. They have good bread and chicken and great banana pudding...but I wouldn't come her often..like a once a year thing.

Everything about this place is bad. The building, the interior decorating, the food, the staff. After we ate there, my husband and I questioned our judgement for not walking right out when we saw how bad, dirty, worn out, the interior looked. And why didn't we leave when we realized the food was, for the most part....BAD. We really should have walked out when we saw the questionable clientele that apparently walked over from Walmart then let their kids run wild. This is a place where nightmares are born. America at its worse. Embarrassing.

Went with coworker for a bite to eat. Place could use a little vacuuming but you can't expect a buffet place to have stellar clean carpet. Ain't gawn happen. So our server who brought our drink refills and took our plates off the table was awesome. He was smiling and always checking in with us. That is rare these days. Buffet was just okay for lunch. I ate enough until I was full. Everything was being rotated frequently so nothing was dry or sitting too long. The 4 stars is for our server. I made sure the let the manager know he has a good staff member there. We tipped generously because our guy deserved it.

I watched an employee behind the steak counter take a new container of macaroni and cheese and dump it into the water that is used to keep the food hot with the steam. No telling how long that nasty water had been there. That was the last time I have or will ever eat here again. If they make that type of mistake when customers are looking, it makes you wonder how they prepare the food when you're not looking! It is actually pretty sad, this place could be really awesome, but they lack proper food safety. Beware and pay attention to your food and how the food is being prepared if you take the chance of eating here!

I felt the score is bit too law. Yes, it's not a fancy steakhouse, but they do serve charbroilled steak right on the counter. Plus lats of seafood and other hot dishes. You cen then finish it up with a variety of desserts. Considering its price, it is a steal. Highly recommend.

I dunno... I lived in Ft. Myers for many years. I don't think that most of the bad reviewers know just how good they've got it with Golden Corral. As far as I can say, most of the food is standard buffet offerings and more. I don't think I've ever waited in line more than a minute or so for another piece of steak. Not to mention it was cooked to order. There is only one buffet here in NY that even comes close to Golden Corral and that place charges $46 per adult and $28 per child on average. For a buffet in the $10-$15 range, Golden Corral was the best thing since sliced bread in my opinion.

I accept total responsibility for going here. Son wanted fried chicken. We just don't do buffets. That being said there was a time that they offered great meals. Fresh cut steaks, excellent baked potatoes, and excellent salad. What a shame, they actually use fresh food still but the cattle call method of prep ruins it. Probably the best part of the meal is yeast rolls and desert. All other is bland and cooked to death.

I like a good buffet. I like tasty food. Our experience here had neither. The salad was wilted-looking, there was a dearth of veggies, and the clientele... well, someone should be standing guard over the buffet options, I kept seeing people reaching in with their hands to slop food onto their plates. Ugh. About the only thing I found palateable were the burgers, which were fairly popular, so they were fresh and surprisingly tasty, if a bit overcooked. The vaunted "chocolate fountain" was mediocre; tasteless brown goop in one, white goop in another. The caramel tasted vaguely of caramel, and was pretty good on the Rice Krispy treats. The atmosphere was generic, with the exception that one party -- apparently from a senior living facility -- had a group singing songs from the 40's and 50's. While we didn't mind, I can see where some people would be annoyed. I see no reason to return. There's really nothing redeeming here.

My experience was fine in this golden corral. The waitresses were friendly and the food delicious. The selection was a little smaller then in other branches, but still top restaurant. It is clean and food is good.

This place should be in the Smithsonian for all the reasons why Western diet supports obesity. Now prices are up to $13 but the 2 footed cattle keep herding in. Even though they added a chocolate fountain (cheap, oily, tasteless cocoa) which my hubby though would entice me to return, it is still a one star in my book. Sacrificial love forced me to return to this fully American Pig Out. Yes, all you want to clog your heart's content is here. If you want privacy, head for the salad bar which is in the far, empty end of the spacious barn. You will have no line here, even though it is not very appetizing to look at... direct contrast to the long line for "steak"/mystery meat from China. I could make a reality TV show out of this place. That will be my next review, which I hope will never happen but since I am happily married (for 35 years) female, I will probably submissively return and you will see me in search of something fresh, uncanned, unprocessed.... would be a great hunt, a great show.
